SMS Campaigns

Requirements

Before you can send messages you need to make sure you have already:

Creating SMS Campaigns

To start creating SMS campaigns, go to Campaigns, select the tab SMS, and click the button Create First SMS Campaign.

If you already have saved campaigns, click on the button New Campaign to start creating an SMS campaign.

You will see something like this.

Let's explain these fields.

Status

Every type of campaign status is explained in the following table.

Campaign Status Explanation
Draft The campaign is in status Draft until you schedule it.
Scheduled The campaign is ready to start at the time you've set.
Sending The campaign is in process of sending to the delivery service provider.
Sent The campaign is sent to the delivery service provider.

Objective

This field allows you to set the campaign objective and based on that to track the performance. You can select No Objective or Event.

If you click on Event you can pick from the list of events you want to set as a campaign objective.

Channel

Jellyreach allows you to switch channels until you schedule the campaign. In this field, you can select the channel (Email and SMS) you want to use.

Audience

Here you can choose if you want to send messages to all your contacts or maybe some specific segment.

You can segment your contacts by any piece of the data you have. Learn more about segmentation.

Body

This is where you start to create your SMS. From the Body field, you can start editing the message content.

When creating message content, you can embed contact attributes dynamically by using double curly braces - {{...}}. If you send a message to the contact John Doe, with a text like this - Hello {{contact.first_name}}, he will receive a message looking like this - Hello John.

Tracking

Jellyreach allows you to include UTM tracking parameters to measure visitors behavior on your website in 3rd-party tools such as Google Analytics. When you add UTM tracking parameters to the URLs, you can get information when a user clicks on a referral link.

The process of adding UTM tags is really simple. You just need to toggle Include UTM tracking parameters, and then Jellyreach will append the following values to each link (except unsubscribe link):

UTM Parameter UTM Value
Source (utm_source) newsletter
Medium (utm_medium) sms
Campaign (utm_campaign) [your-campaign-name]

However, if you want to customize it more, you can always toggle Customize UTM Tags and then enter your own values.

Scheduling SMS Campaigns

Once you set up all the fields, you're ready to schedule your campaign. Click on the top right button Schedule and select the time when you want to launch your campaign.

You can schedule an SMS campaign now, in suggested periods, or by setting custom time.

{info} Campaigns will be scheduled according to the time zone in your active workspace. You can read more about setting time zones here.
